PeDRO for Emergency Relief Aid After Typhoon Odette (Rai).

Philippine Disaster Relief Organization (PeDRO) is seeking financial donations for the victims of super typhoon Odette that brought widespread destruction to the island of the Philippines particularly in Visayas and parts of Mindanao on December 16, 2021. The powerful typhoon lasered through and battered several regions with a sustained wins of 120 miles/hour and gusts winds of up to 168 miles/hour or compared to a signal number 4-5 typhoon. The destruction is breathtaking that left extensive destructions, knocking out power and communication lines, livelihoods destroyed, lost or disrupted, and claimed hundreds of human lives.

An estimated of nearly a million people including children need urgent assistance such as water, food, medicines, and other immediate needs. Many residents have no communications due to without power for days, and no roof over their heads on the holidays (Christmas and New Year). PeDRO helps rebuild lives when disaster strikes.

Give hope to those who need it most!

At PeDRO, we aim to rebuild hope where it’s been damaged or lost. We work with those in need, those who are underprivileged, and those who are underserved to rebuild and restructure. Our focus lies on community efforts, shelter, food aid, clean water, community awareness, and educational opportunities. To extend relief assistance to victims of natural disasters and shall endeavor to mobilize the resources of the community towards these objectives. It is also PeDRO's hope to raise awareness in the Filipino-American community of extending disaster relief to the less fortunate and creating a network of organizations linking the various relief efforts.

"PeDRO helps rebuild lives when disaster strikes". When there are people in need, we will be there.

Fundraiser

As part of PeDRO's goal to donate for the typhoon Haiyan victims and Bohol earthquake, volunteers and donors came forward to help by participating the 5K Walk fundraiser.

Education

After typhoon Haiyan hit the island of Leyte, Philippine Consul General Hellen Barber De La Vega called for a community meeting in an effort to provide assistance to the disaster victims.
